Pokerstars Not Working

PokerStars, along with 888Poker, is one of the best online poker websites nowadays, however, it is not available everywhere. To access the website outside the US or even in certain states you need to play PokerStars with VPN. Pokerstars, an online poker site used by millions across the globe, has stopped working, leaving many players stuck mid-game or unable to log in. There's also been a spike of Pokerstars down reports on the independent outage monitor Down Detector, with reports rising since around 11pm GMT. But my main problem is that not one of the keyboard shortcut commands are working with pokerstars. Not even my commands for 'check' 'call' 'fold' which are just using the arrow keys, as in 'Press Left key and hold for 0.3 seconds and release'. I have pokerstars hotkeys set for insert, delete, home, end, page up, page down, and then the 3 keys.

If you run Hand2Note with the room for the first time, HUD may not appear instantly. First of all, just try to wait a few minutes while keeping Hand2Note and your room client open.

If HUD doesn't appear, do the following:

  1. Update Hand2Note to the latest version.
  2. Turn on the 'Enable HUD with hand history conveters' option.

  1. Disable antivirus, or add Hand2Note to exceptions list.
  2. Install all the latest Windows updates.
  3. Restart computer and router.
  4. Follow specific instructions for Asian apps or PokerStars if you play in that rooms.

If you play in one of the Chinese apps:

  1. Make sure that you have valid ASIA or PRO subscription, or your free trial is still active.
  2. Make sure that you don’t run other converters simultaneously with Hand2Note.
  3. Make sure you're using a suitable Android emulator software and playing supported game type. Take a look at the compatibility table.

Run in the following order:

  1. Restart your computer
  2. Run the required number of emulators and run the room application
  3. Run Hand2Note as administrator
  4. Wait 1 minute
  5. Restart emulators one-by-one
  6. Wait until HUD appears

  1. Set English language in PokerStars app.
  2. Run PokerStars app as administrator.
  3. Make sure you have configured auto-import properly.

If HUD stopped working immediately after PokerStars update, it is possible that the new version of the client is not supported by Hand2Note yet. Don’t worry, the update with the support of the new version will be released shortly. If you want to play right now, you can temporarily rollback the PS client to the old version. To do this, follow the instructions:

  1. Go to PokerStars installation directory (Usually it is located at C:/Program Files (x86)/PokerStars)
  2. Go to backup folder
  3. Select all the files by pressing CTRL + A
  4. Copy all the files you’ve selected by pressing CTRL + C
  5. Go back to PokerStars folder
  6. Paste all the files by pressing CTRL + V, select 'Replace files in destination folder'
  7. Run PokerStars using PokerStars.exe file from PokerStars folder (Not via the standard shortcut on the desktop, otherwise the client will be updated again)

This guide will help you set up PokerStars for easyPokerHUD. Without these settings easyPokerHUD will not work!

Note: When PokerStars updates itself, you have to manually restart it. Otherwise easyPokerHUDs overlay will show up behind the PokerStars window.

1. Go into your PokerStars settings and select “Always Auto-Center Me” under “Preferred Seat”.

2. Click “Apply Changes”.

3. Navigate to “Playing History” and then “Hand History”.

4. Check “Save my Hand History”.

5. Set “Where to save” to the default path displayed here. “XYZ ” is your username in Windows.

6. Set the language to “English”.

7. Click “Apply Changes”

8. Play a couple of hands with easyPokerHUD running in the background. The HUD will appear as soon as you have finished playing your first hand.

This guide will help you set up 888 Poker for easyPokerHUD. Without these settings easyPokerHUD will not work!

Note: When 888 Poker updates itself, you have to manually restart it. Otherwise easyPokerHUDs overlay will show up behind the 888 Poker window.

1. Go into your 888 Poker settings and select your preferred seats as shown below.

2. Click “Apply”.

3. Navigate to “Game Settings” and check “Keep my hand history in:” as shown below. Use the default path that is applied by 888 Poker.

5. Click “Save and close”.
